Yummy Yummy @ Ipoh

At my recent trip to Ipoh, my family and I spent some time trying out some famous food at some recommended eateries.

Day 1

During the day, we had our lunch at the Ipoh Parade. We ordered Chee Cheong Fun which I thought was not nice at all. We also tried the Yee Mee. Its taste is still ok, not bad, I would say. At night, since it was my brother's birthday, we decided to buy him a nice dinner. So, we went to the well known Overseas Restaurant. We ordered 4 dishes which costed us around 130 over bucks.

Day 2

We had our breakfast at the Foh San Restaurant which is famous for its Dim Sum. We ordered quite some number of dishes and they totaled up to around RM 55++. Quite a variety of dim sums are available there and they are worth trying. There were also some special Dim Sum which I never seen before in Penang and they tasted not bad either. Recommended.

After a few hours wandering around Ipoh, it was time again for our lunch. Though we are not hungry yet, but to accomodate my schedule (I was going back to KL at around 2:30pm), we had our lunch at around 12:40pm, some 3 hours after our breakfast. We had it at the Ong Kee Restaurant, famously known for its "Nga-Choi-Kai" (Steamed Chicken with bean sprouts).

We also stopped by at the Aun Kheng Lim Restaurant to buy a salted chicken. For your information, those chickens are only valid for takeaway and one whole chicken is the minimum purchase at RM15++. Looking at some newspaper cuttings and some reportings pasted on the wall outside the restaurant, we found out that it first started off as a small business and now, as the wholesaler of salted chicken. Salute~
